Not a lot going on these days. Summer has finally passed as I mentioned in my last post. The cooler weather means we have been venturing out more. Always a fun thing.
Recently, Sir took me to a performance at our local symphony house. It was Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition. Very enjoyable evening. He got us box seats close to the stage so we could look out over the balcony and see the performers. For the evening I wore my blue metallic gown, gloves, hood and burqa. Sir insisted that I wear the 6 inch platform boots under the evening gown. They make walking a challenge, but do give me much desired height and keep my hem from dragging too much.
The hood was a silencing hood so I could not speak or make any noise. I was also bound around my upper arms to the sides of my dress so I could not raise my hands and they barely exited the slits in my blue burqa. This was just for the fun of being bound up in rubber while out and about.
While I enjoy the sensation of restricted arm movement and having my stride limited by the over the top high heeled boots, it is the fact that I am silenced and in public that excites me the most. People nodded at me and Sir sent me over to buy him a coffee during intermission. The fact I could barely grasp it (thank goodness the serving counter was low) and that I could only silently nod at the young lady who served it generated a ridiculous amount of adrenaline, I must say. Walking back with his coffee held in both my tiny, gloved hands, barely able to clear the sides of my waist, was quite a challenge and did generate a few looks. But I made it, sat it down in front of him and then sank into my own chair. What I really wanted to do was collapse into a kneeling position ext to his chair and issue a "whew!" of relief. However, both actions were denied me.
Sir wore all black; blazer, trousers, shirt, and gloves.
I was not the only veiled person at the performance. There were two other women I saw in veils although not burqas like mine. They were with men and wound up seated in boxes across the auditorium from us. It was fun to watch them also lean out to see the performers as I was doing. Their niqabs occasionally fluttered over the rail.
The performance was excellent. Pictures is always a treat, being such a visual and aural piece. I sat through it happily. At intermission Sir struck up a conversation with the couple in the next box. They eyed me most curiously, but the subject of my attire, demeanor, or existence never came up.
We stopped at our favorite steakhouse afterwards and Sir enjoyed a good meal while I sat and watched. Of course, the silencing hood prevented me from joining him, but he had the waiter prepare a nice meal for me in a take home bag and I was allowed to eat later after we arrived at home. Sir had offered to remove my silencing hood under the burqa so I could join him at dinner, but I signaled that I would prefer to remain sealed if he did not mind. Sitting watching him eat while i have nothing to do, nothing to eat or drink, and no movement is such a strong symbolic gesture of submission, particularly in public, that I find I crave it and seek it out when possible.
A few weeks later we were invited to a party and went out this past weekend to attend. It was several hundred miles away and we were guests of our hosts at a sort of sprawling ranch house in central Texas. They are a lovely couple with quite a lot of empty rooms since their kids have mostly moved out and away. Consequently, they invited 3 couples to join them for a weekend party and we all got to have a suite each. A bedroom, private bath, and a separate room for the submissive to be kept in if desired...effectively, each bedroom came with its own little dungeon. Mine had a vacuum bed on a massage table, a spanking bench, and a violet wand in addition to a small collection of whips.
The weekend was spent with everyone in rubber, all 8 of us done up in hoods, catsuits, gloves, and serious bondage gear for the subs. We had a load of fun and our hosts put on a great spread including a big Sunday lunch of barbecue before we left for home.
So it has been an exciting few weeks.

The Heat has Broken but My Bonds are Tight
Our string of 60+ days of over 100F (38C) degree heat has finally broken. This past Monday (Labor day, the official end of summer) we awoke to a cool 60F morning and it only climbed to 95F over the course of the day.
This still sounds amazingly hot, and is, if you are in the sun, but Monday was so cool, I was out puttering around in our garden while Sir did some maintenance on the house in preparation for the coming wet season.
Puttering around in our garden means going out in the early morning before the sun rises over the house and weeding and moving some flowers around. It also, of course, means doing it in latex.
Monday morning I asked Sir if I could work in the garden and he said yes, but to wear my burqa while I did so. And, because it was so cool when he woke me and let me out of my vac bed, I put on my usual cooler weather attire.
So, after my morning bath, I dressed in a thin skinsuit of transparent red tinted latex, a red rubber ankle length, loose skirted dress with a Victorian bodice (all high collar and leg o'mutton sleeves), matching boots, gloves, and a hood covering the skinsuit's transparent one.
This was the first day I have been able (and required) to wear two layers of latex all day long in quite some time. For most of the summer Sir has relented on the skinsuit allowing me to just wear a dress or skirt and blouse and only one hood. Sometimes, I have not even had to wear a hood for the whole day unless we were going out and then only the burqa's hood.
So, I wandered downstairs after dressing, doubly covered and gloved and hooded, and asked Sir if I could do my gardening before the sun got too high. His response was, "yes, but wear your red burqa. And I will put you in hobbling chains, i think!"
I was a little disconcerted since our back yard is fully enclosed and not exposed to neighbors or anyone else. No one could see, even if I was chained, so why the burqa? But needs must when the devil rides, so I went to our play room and waited.
A few moments later Sir joined me, collected a set of hobbling chains from the wall and proceeded to severely limit my range of motion.
The steel chains he chose are not very heavy, are very silver, and have rubber manacles attached to them. They start with a pair of ankle manacles, chained together with a length of about 18 wide. This limits my stride, but since I was to be kneeling much of the time, it would not matter much. A vertical chain rises from the center of the hobble to a rubber waist belt which went around my dress. Attached to it are 'D' rings at the sides and front and back.
The side rings have short chains coming off them with arm cuffs attached. These fasten above my elbows and restrict my arm range of motion considerably.
The D rings in back and front have chains coming off them leading to a heavy rubber neck collar. Once fastened, at the specific length, I would be able to stand, but would be unable to stretch.
Then, Sir fastened my head into a bright red hood (my third) with a feeding gag and limited vision from pepperpot eyes, and fastened the collar around my throat before draping the bright red burqa over my head (he is SO enamored of monochromatic dressing). The outer hood has a built-in gag which has a tube passing through it for providing me with water. Both inner hoods have wide mouth openings. The tube from the gag can either be run under the burqa or actually passed through one of the perforations in the burqa's grill for attachment to a water bottle that I could suck from as I wished.
He had me feed my hands through the arm slits and then then manacled my wrists with an 18 inch length between them on the outside of the burqa. Another chain dropped from the one hobbling my wrists to the one hobbling my ankles, so I actually had two chains rising from my feet to my midsection, one beneath and one outside the burqa.
If this all seems a bit excessive, it is, but Sir enjoys having me bound like this. The chains are connected to each other with small padlocks, so he can configure them any way he wishes, including shortening my stride and reach.
By just removing the wrist to ankle hobble he then has me ready to go out in public, bound and hobbled under the burqa.
Next I went to the garage to retrieve my tools, a bucket, and a rubber padded kneeling board. I was able to move with some difficulty, but I have done this countless times before, so I was used to it. Thankfully, I have learned to place all my gardening tools at a fairly low height in our garage since I could not reach higher than my elbows at best.
Out into the back yard and around to the garden. I decided where to work first and placed the kneeler in front of a patch of flowers with some weeds growing out of it. Then I prepared to kneel and get to work.
This raises a question. How should a veiled lady kneel to work in a garden? Does one kneel on the burqa? Does one lift it and kneel on the dress beneath it? Or does one lift all the skirts and kneel on her skinsuit?
I recall Sister Justine at school kneeling on her apron which she wore over her habit. But my mother would typically raise her dress up and kneel on the garden kneeler with her bare knees.
I opted for the most conservative, kneeling on my burqa. This still required some fiddling, fluffing, and flouncing of both my skirt and the veil, all of which was limited in scope by my chains. But, ultimately, I managed to drop to my knees in an appropriate attitude of prayer to the vegetable gods.
As I worked, bent over my weeding and pruning, Sir took some inappropriate photos, mostly of my rear. But, he did capture a few of my red rubbered hands with their black rubber manacles, emerging from the red swirl of latex burqa to wield a small garden fork and the obligatory pair of secateurs. There is something slightly sinister about those pictures with red rubbered hands holding shiny steel bladed secateurs. Slowly, my bucket began to fill with unwanted grass, weeds, and stems.
My kneeler has upright handles on it and short spiky legs which bite into the soil on either side. This is important because I could twist and use one hand to rise when I needed to move to a different location. I could only reach the side with one hand at a time because of the manacles and chain, but I was fairly capable of independent movement.
Sir, dressed in a black rubber shorty catsuit (a one piece affair with short sleeves and bermuda length short legs), proceeded to work on his grill, paint the railing around our balcony and stairs, caulk some windows, and repair some cracks in the outer stucco of our house. It has been a very hot summer and the exterior of our home has suffered, but it is looking much better after his efforts.
He WAS kind enough to take my bucket away from me and empty it multiple times as I filled it. He kept an eye on me to be sure I did not overheat as well and made sure that I was drinking from the water bottle, through my gag.
We worked for about four hours before the sun crossed over the crown of our house and began to beat down on the back yard. It had been very breezy and was quite a pleasant temperature in the low 70's, but one certainly did not want to be working with any strenuousness once the sun was up and the air began to truly heat up in the afternoon.
About 1 pm, just as the sun was getting to be too much, Sir came over, raised me up and unhooked all my chains. He reached under the burqa and removed the collar and the burqa hood with its gag. The reduction in pressure was much appreciated. But I did not speak as we are in agreement that once un-gagged I will always wait to be told it is ok to talk.
He then proceeded to walk me over to a chaise, sat me down, and removed my red rubber boots then walked me gently down the steps into our pool. My burqa and my dress were still on and they floated out around me until I got them a bit more under control and under the surface. The water was still blood temperature. it will be several days before it loses an appreciable amount of heat.
We floated around a bit, my in bright red voluminous rubber veil and dress, he in tight black jumpsuit. Finally, he came over to me, slipped my burqa off and unzipped my dress and removed both, placing them on a patio lounger by the edge of the pool. Thank heaven he had specifically told me NOT to corset in the morning.
So here I was, after about 5 hours in multiple layers of total enclosure and encasement in soft, red latex and steel chain bondage, now virtually naked in just the red tinted transparent skinsuit, still technically covered head to foot in rubber, floating gently on my back in a cool swimming pool. At one point, Sir came over behind me and I floated on my back, eyes closed, while he stroked my bald head through the thin latex (as he still keeps my head shaved). I am not sure when the orgasms began, but they did not end for quite some time.
We stayed in the pool long enough to enjoy each other very, very well, then he took me inside and undressed me and put me in a cool shower and had me re-dress, this time in black for the rest of the afternoon and evening. Later, after sunset, we went out to a nearby Japanese restaurant for dinner.
All in all, a wonderful labor day spent in the garden!

Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!
Rant Alert: Sir tells me I should warn everyone that my post today will be a rant and not fetish or latex related.
Today I watched a horrible wreck on television.
Not a wreck of flesh and steel, but of mind and knowledge.
Today I watched an episode of the game show Jeopardy! with three school teachers as contestants.
It was terrible to see two of them, one fresh from university, one with many years of high school teaching, implode in a heap of wrong answers and poor scores.
The third was also a high school teacher and, to his credit, walked away with $30,000 worth of right answers.
The other two finished with under $4000 and -$1600, respectively.
Now many things can influence this game as I am sure regular watchers are aware.
"Reaction time is a factor", so we have to allow that the runaway leader might have been considerably swifter on the buzzer.
Contestants, even those well rehearsed and chosen for the game by the producers do, sometimes, choke in the real event.
And occasionally, the categories are just not the forte of a particular contestant. But, with the possible exception of the reaction time issue above, I do not thing these rationale apply.
The lowest scorer kept losing money until she was in the red by answering questions wrongly.
She did not even know the river bordering Texas and Mexico (hint: not the Colorado)
The other, a kindergarten teacher, but, as I said, fresh from university, seemed mostly to miss buzzing in or to not try...it is hard to know when someone does not even get the chance to answer, just what went wrong.
But I certainly expected to see more even scores across the board from professional educators.
We typically see much more even scores across teen contestants, which I find interesting. Teens REALLY know teen culture.
Our teachers are trained, in some ways crafted, by our higher educational system; it is a mighty force as anyone who has tried to stand against it or change its course can tell you. And so, I looked upon the works of those mighty and despaired.
Now Jeopardy is, by no means, the way a teacher should be judged or ranked, rated, or recommended. Jeopardy! is a game show and cannot be used as a significant testing vehicle except, perhaps, in the IBM Watson competition. IBM chose Jeopardy! as its demonstration vehicle because Jeopardy! does require contestants to both have a wide general base of knowledge and to exercise their language parsing and comprehension skills to participate at any reasonable level. Jeopardy! is used in schools to exercise students in those skills and it does have a very strong pedagogical background.
What worries me about this presentation I watched today is that I see many other episodes with people not in the education profession who do amazingly well; whose breadth of knowledge is both wide and deep. Why, then, do our professional educators who go on this show appear not to have the same knowledge base and skill base? Let me hasten to say that I have watched other Jeopardy! Teachers episodes with similar results. The previous one I watched had a high school teacher also go negative with all his wrong answers and have to leave before Final Jeopardy! And anecdotally, educators seem to make relatively poorer contestants overall. I have not performed a serious study, however.
What, I wonder, is going on?
Teaching is hard! teaching below university level is harder than hard. I have done it, I have taught others how to do it, and I have researched how students learn so teachers can be able to do it well and better than it has been done before. No matter what, teaching is hard...and teachers in our K-12 grades are not even allowed to teach as much as they would prefer...they are laden with so many administrative and politically motivated responsibilities that 12-14 hour days with significant amounts of that spent working at home each evening are considered not just normal, but somehow a moral imperative. Don't put those hours in and you are considered a poor teacher, unmotivated, ill prepared for promotion, etc, etc.
But, what are we doing in educating our teachers that we seem to see less and less breadth and depth in THEIR education? At these levels, ANYONE coming from a university education should have a strong grasp of a broad range of topics. And people educated on how to teach should also know the basics of general knowledge about history, geography, language, literature, mythology, physics, math, chemistry, biology, astronomy, philosophy, ethics, theology, politics, history, culture, music, drama, and art.
Our universities have an obligation to produce teachers ready to answer questions and ready to facilitate the gathering and contextualization of information into knowledge. Some say this is not necessary. Some say teachers should be taught to teach (organize and plan lessons and present the information, and just stay a few chapters or pages ahead of the students) but I must disagree. As long as there are teachers and we do not hand over education strictly to the web, teachers must continue to be a bit of the "sage on the stage" while also being "the guide by the side". They need a solid base of knowledge at their fingertips to quickly and accurately answer questions that arise. This is particularly true of elementary, but also of high school teachers.
Now, I do not expect every bachelor-degreed teacher to be an in-depth expert in all of those subjects above. but I expect teachers-to-be to be so interested in knowledge itself that they can almost not help but absorb significant amounts of information about those topics. And I expect university courses to be designed to interestingly and effectively impart that knowledge to them. Interestingly designed and taught general studies courses should be required of teaching majors...(no, frankly, I believe they should be required of ALL majors.).
Another thing we need to do before university is to stop teaching wrong information. History classes that are more designed to indoctrinate young students in cultural values at the expense of historical accuracy need to go. Geography courses that are decades out of date and set students up with an inaccurate vision of the world outside their borders need to go. Science courses that demonstrate effects without forcing students to think about causes and implications need to go. Literature courses that avoid hard topics and worry about political correctness when teaching students who absorb vast amounts of attitude from pop culture need to go. Any courses which universities identify as having to be untaught to first year college students need to go.
The current way in which teachers are prepared to be teachers is unfair
The current way in which teachers are expected to be teachers is unfair
The current way in which society views teachers is unfair
The current way in which society values teachers is unfair
These things are not just unfair to the individual teachers involved, they are also unfair to the students they teach and to the society those students both inherit and create.
The teachers I watched on Jeopardy! today who performed so poorly may be excellent teachers in their own environments. I know nothing of them, their skills, their interests, their dreams, or their achievements (well, apparently the runner up only managed to eat 5 hot dogs in a hot dog eating contest where she was the only woman and the winner ate 42, which does indicate a certain willingness to embrace difficult challenges!)
So please do not take this as any indictment of these individuals; I am making no judgements about them as individuals. But, after watching educators perform poorly as a group in several of these Jeopardy! episodes, I have to wonder, why do educators, as a group, seem to do poorly and non-educators, as a group, seem do so much better? And why do some educators do so wildly better? Are they just outliers or is there something else going on? Training, opportunity, personality? What is making the difference? I do not believe the old adage of "those who can, do and those who can't, teach". We have no scientific evidence of that. Although we DO know that many true experts in any field make very poor educators in that field. Experts do not know and often cannot explain how they do what they do...but here we are talking about general knowledge, not deep, deep expertise in a single topic.
But they should have more knowledge at their mnemonic beck and call than they appear to have on this show.
Well, those are my thoughts. I do not usually use this blog to comment on social issues, but this one struck very close to my heart. Watching educators do so poorly on that show always bothers me and worries me. I wonder if I could have done more as a teacher myself to be sure my students walked away with a greater breadth of knowledge than just the topic of my course.

A Visit With Family
My word! I did not realize it had been such a long time since my last post. All the way back to April. It is amazing how time gets away from me these days. My apologies to all of you who have been asking me to write again. i shall try to be more prolific, but I plead some exhaustion from this incredible summer we have had. We will shortly pass 60 days of over 100 degree highs. Not officially as we had a day or two at the beginning of August when the official temperature only rose to 99. But Sir and I have watched our home thermometer climb into the 3 digit range every day since June 30th.
I have spent the last two months being allowed to wear only 1 layer of latex around the house many, many days and not even having to be hooded some of the time. I have also spent a considerable time in shower and tub, staying cool and being sure I am safe from heat rash and other irritants.
But last night it actually rained. We went out to dinner and noticed, as soon as we stepped out of the house, that the air smelled like rain. The sky was cobalt blue with nary a cloud in sight, but still there was the unmistakable fragrance of aerosolized moisture in the air! Sure enough, loud thunder awakened me in my vacuum bed this morning even before Sir was up to release me. And the patio was not just damp but positively wet when I went out for a little swim later.
Ah! The new vacuum bed. I love this one.I have not written of it before because Sir did not get it for me until our recent wedding anniversary (36th) last week. It is a stylish red and allows my head to emerge, covered in a black latex hood or transparent one from my skinsuit.
This makes it possible for me to sleep in it next to Sir. Just sealed in a whole body skin suit with my head protruding from the smooth, shimmering red sea of latex. Our bedsheets are black latex, which makes for a lovely contrast. This new vacbed does not hold vacuum without a constant pump (unlike our older his and her beds) but Sir placed the vacuum pump a good distance away and ran a long pool hose to the bed. This makes the noise distant enough that we can fall asleep.
Beyond the fact that my head protrudes and the face that for the first time I can directly see what my vacuumed packed body looks like in such a bed, there is little difference between this one and my other one. But it is very nice to be able to see while being packed, sealed, and restrained in it. The fact that I am sometimes even able to communicate with him is fun, but I confess, most of the time I enjoy being gagged and having him use my face and head for his fun as he stimulates me in my rubber prison.
In other news, we had Sir's sister, niece, and their friends over a while back. We did a nice Sunday dinner. Nothing special here...I was in my red burqa over a red floor length dress. I was, however, allowed to speak and eat. We had barbecue which, for me, meant a small plate with bite sized bits taken under my burqa and consumed while everyone else ate as well. We met the niece's new boyfriend who was a little disconcerted at first, but adjusted quickly. Sir's sister had a long time girlfriend with her who was also aware of my lifestyle and had even met me down in San Antonio so there was not any surprise there.
Before we ate, we all went out in the pool. I wore my blue burqa over a blue skinsuit and the water kept me cool enough, but frankly, it was still blood temperature and not very refreshing. Nonetheless, it was fun to be floating in the pool, burqa swishing around me, warm water sluicing over tight latex beneath it. I DO love swimming in latex...it is a most stimulating exercise.
Sir wore a very tight latex bermuda shorts catsuit with latex cargo shorts over it. That worked for him as he could drop the shorts and be in what was effectively a shorty wetsuit for swimming. His niece forgot to bring a suit so we loaned her a latex bodysuit of mine which fit very nicely...we are about the same size. She had never worn rubber before and was a bit skittish at first, but I pointed out all the celebrities that are wearing rubber now and that got her into it! She's quite the Gaga fan, among others!
Beyond that, our past few months have been fairly quiet with little of note. We have been going to movies to get out of the house and stay cool. We had one of three aircons fail for a week which meant that we slept in the playroom for a few nights as its A/C comes from a separate unit from that of our bedroom. It is also in the middle of the house with no windows and thus remains cooler.
We went to an interesting museum exhibit a few months ago (I can't believe I have not posted an entry since before then) and have been out to dinner several times, occasionally with friends or colleagues of Sir's. His business is continuing to grow and he looked into larger offices recently, but has made no decision. He joked about me going back to work in the office as his partner...at least I hope it was joking...I do not have much desire to return to the business world although there is something appealing about the idea of wafting up and down the corridors of his offices in a swirly rubber burqa. :)
I have been doing some writing recently. Just some stories to amuse myself. One about a submissive young man who agrees to become a bizarrely transexualized rubber maid for a couple in a society of latex aficionados.
And after watching the recent royal weddings and the batch of 1950-1960 period shows on television I began to think about a story revolving around a woman who is invited to enter the upper echelons of a very stiff, formal society ... attending galas, balls, debutante presentments, high teas, charity and political funding events, and such ... but this is not just high society she is invited into, it is rubber society and she must make some serious and permanent decisions about her lifestyle and her appearance, dress, and commitment to the etiquette she is expected to keep when she enters Rubber Society.
Sir encourages my little writing hobby, but I am not sure hat to do with them once they are finished. Many are little more than a chapter of a larger work and not even up to the standard of a short story...they are vignettes as of now, but I shall continue tweaking and pecking at them.
So this has been my long, lazy, hot, and rubbery summer. It is officially over in little more than a week (labor day) but I suspect the hot days of 2011's summer will hang on throughout most of September.

Cool Winter and a Second Life
Well, it has been a while between postings. We are having a very nice winter with rather more cold, ice, and snow than usual this month. But not the foot of snow we had in february last year.
We have done very little in the way of shopping or outings. The cold certainly makes latex dressing a bit of a challenge and I am routinely wearing three layers around the house...a total enclosure skin-suit in transparent rubber, a catsuit over that, and a dress over it all.
We did go see Tron: Legacy at the cinema...a fun flick with better story I think than the original. I was in my blue burqa with the two eyes which limits my vision a bit. We did not partake of 3D ... Not sure how that would work for me. I was able, however, to follow the story and the visuals are quite stunning. I love some of the costumes ... very dramatic and fetishy...I wonder how much the rest of the audience recognized that aspect. beneath my burqa I was in a long blue dress and a very tight, full enclosure blue tinted transparent skin-suit. AndI was, of course, silenced by the burqa's metallic blue latex hood which also has pepper-pot eyes to limit my vision further.
The new burqa which I have mentioned in other posts is more of a bronze electrum colour than platinum and Sir thinks it will be more interesting as a springtime outfit. So I hope to have some photos of it in a few weeks when the temperature starts back up.
I have been spending a lot of time in Second Life and have made some new friends. However, I mentioned Deirdre Young in my previous post and she and I met up again the other day at the Powers of Creation store. I was contemplating several new transparent latex full enclosure suits they are offering for avatars. I had just found a gorgeous latex kimono at Latex Web, inc. and was wearing it with a very nice Oiran hair. Deirdre suggested I model for her.
One thing led to another and a few minutes later (with Sir's enthusiastic permission) I was in her studio space and being posed on a wonderful stand crafted by Lelo. I have included some of the photos she let me have here.
I believe she will publish some others in her Second Life Fetish Fashion Blog soon. I think the kimono is one of the best in SL and the inclusion of Geta really completes the outfit. The hairpins are an extra item, but they were from Latex Web as well.

Not much else has been happening, as I said earlier. We have been resting up after Christmas and had absolutely no intention of getting out in the Ice this past week. Nor did we go to the SuperBowl, an event which has no attraction for Sir, whatsoever. I have been working on a gift for my sister, a new embroidery project. Doing needlework in gloves is challenging, let me state categorically!
And so I shall close this little posting. I hope everyone enjoys the images of my Second Life Avatar, latexladyll galicia.

A New Friend in Second Life
I wanted to take a moment to mention that I have been back in Second Life a lot lately. I have been away for a few months, hardly ever signing on or going in-world. But I began to log in a bit more in the last month and Sir instructed me to update my wardrobe and my look. All of which translates into
SHOPPING SPREE!
I have been acquiring, at his behest, a significantly broader SL wardrobe and adopting a bit edgier (his term) look for my avatar, LatexLadyll Galicia. Of course the items are latex and I do still try to exercise a certain restraint in terms of fashion, looking for gowns and dresses, but I have added a ridiculous number of new items to my inventory in the past month. These include
Catsuits ... with the new V2 Tattoo layer, catsuits really are second skins, not first...and they fit nicely under more elaborate outfits.
Gowns ... There are more and more designers in SL making great latex gowns and formals
Hair ... I have upgraded my hair from the simple Betty Page style I have used for a couple years to include longer and more elaborate styles ... including some that go well with my kimonos and also with a more edgy look. Modesty Blaise was always another one of my favorite characters and I found some lovely Up-Dos that remind me of her
SHOES!!! ... it is amazing how many new pairs of shoes and boots I have purchased this month. Sir sent me specifically looking for thigh highs and for unusual stylings to go with my new-found look. Coincidentally, we have been shoe shopping in RL as well and I have acquired several new pairs in the real world as well as Second Life.
I have been much aided in these shopping endeavors by my recent re-discovery of the Second Life Fetish Fashion Blog by Deirdre Young and Lelo Recreant (http://slfetishfashion.blogspot.com/) . Although I had a whole list of usual shops that I frequent, these two fine young journalists provided me with a wonderful collection of new and different places to spend those Lindens.
A recent posting by these two led me back to House of Alisha and Alisha Ultisch. She has produced some amazing new latex restrictive and ethnic fashions including a new latex abaya with full veils (she had already made me several burqas), and an extravagant evening gown with layers of veiling which includes optional robotic handmaids.
I acquired the abaya and veils, and I am keeping my fingers crossed for the evening gown from Sir! it IS gift giving season, after all. So, even though I am seen more and more in long leggy catsuits, jackets, and other fetish gear, i can still retreat to a soft enveloping burqa from time to time. Her latest creation complements my new one in RL from Peter. I usually wear the one while I prance around in SL in the other. Those V2 features such as outfits and tattoo layer come in very handy as well ... As i am in RL, I can now be fully dressed in heavy restriction in SL while veiled most modestly in a burqa, khimar, or niqab and abaya
All of this is a digression however. I wanted to say that after I chatted with Alisha a bit, she mentioned Deirdre and Lelo to me and gave me an introduction. This led to me spending a lovely 90 minutes chatting with Deirdre (Lelo was present, but appropriately quiet as Deirdre's sub). The chat ranged all over the map but I can certainly say that this is one of the most intelligent, articulate, and fascinating persons I have met in SL. I heartily recommend the blog as both a wonderful reference and guide to fetish fashion in SL as well as an interesting insight into the thought processes of a pair of self reflective fetishists. The two ladies are fascinating to read and you can get a better sense of what real D/s relations look like both n RL and SL by just reading between the lines of their blog.
Well, SL aside, in the real world we have been quite busy the past month
Of course there is the usual seasonal decorating going on and we have our tree, lights, wreaths, and other decorations up. I have been embroidering christmas ornaments for years and we used only those on the tree this year. Nonetheless, we had too many so we donated a box of them to a local charity needing christmas decorations. We also chose our angel tree children from a tree at the mall ... Yes, I DID get a few odd looks picking out angel tree names from a tree while fully veiled in a bright red latex burqa...such fun.
I have been wearing the red one more and more lately because it is the most festive looking and I do enjoy this season. I presume most people have seen the latest photos Sir let me upload to Flickr which he took while we were out to lunch one day in November.
We've done our Christmas shopping and i have acquired some nice gifts for him. Shopping by myself in the mall is always an interesting experience...still exciting even after these last few years. However, if anything, shop clerks and people were more helpful than usual.
We have also been entertaining friends and visitors here in the past month. Our friends from Switzerland passed through for a weekend and it was great to see them. We also drove down to see his family in San Antonio for Thanksgiving. The weather was just incredible. A bit cool, but fine for walking around the shopping center and dining on thie patio the first night.
So, a usual Christmas season and a very enjoyable time lately.
Happy Holidays to everyone and I will write again soon

Out and About in Cool November Weather - with pics
Well, by now, many people will have seen the new batch of pictures Sir took and let me put up on my flickr account. We were out for lunch at Cheesesteak Factory in the local town square the other day. We had a very nice afternoon, not doing much, but enjoying the day.
We do this quite often, but on this day, Sir took some photos and, with only a little begging, I was allowed to post them up on my Flickr account http://flickr.com/latexladyll.
We had lunch first...I was allowed to speak and to eat...bringing my small bites under the burqa. I wore my bright red one which looks very nice in the sun. He took some pics around the house and garden first, then took me over to Cheesecake Factory for some broccoli and fries. I was wearing a full face hood as usual under the burqa, but this one had a mouth opening so I could speak and eat normally.
After, we went window shopping...this is an unenclosed shopping center, a town square for the suburb really. I posed with a woman in surgical scrubs who saw us and popped out of a White House/Black Market clothing store. She wanted to know what we were up to and then I asked her if she would like Sir to take a picture with us both and she said yes.
Nice jackets in WH/BM, if you are into wool and do not require a hood. :-)
After that we wandered over to the Apple store and I got to play with an iPad a bit and look at the Mac Air...very nice and light. And I can report that the iPad works even with my gloves on!
Then off to the bookstore (a big box B&N ... love these places) and some browsing, some pictures (Sir took a couple of me from the escalator as he was going up) and then some as we got a drink at the coffee bar.
All in all a nice quiet afternoon as usual...not unlike how we spend our time quite often, but I was so happy he let me publish the pics. He usually does not even think to take any photos.
Everyone was very polite, some staring, but no comments. Cheesesteak Factory staff were wonderful and very helpful and most friendly. The Apple people were helpful and nice and the B&N folks are always completely accepting of the woman in the burqa!
Hope everyone enjoys the pics...everyone should be able to see them, even in places like German!

A Break in the Heat
At long last, we've had a nice break in the heat. The temperature has dropped over the past few days and we had two days of torrential rains as a side effect of Tropical Storm Hermine. Unfortunately, that rain (about 30 cm in a day) cause flash floods and the weather spawned some very destructive tornadoes.
Sir and I spent much of the time indoors, however, and were quite safe. Our home is well above the flood plain and in a part of town not typically prone to tornadoes although any part of the DFW area is subject to them to some degree.
Nothing much to report. We took the opportunity of lower temps and rain to go out and have some fun. Dinner and movies in the cooler evenings. It was quite nice to go to a steak house and be able to eat a small plate of teak bites and potato under my red burqa. Sir allowed me to be un-gagged for the meal although I happily wore a very tight red silencing hood to and from the restaurant.
He has ordered me a new burqa in response to the comments from folks reading my last post. It will be in metallic platinum. Peter Leth, our master of rubber burqas, has come up with a new addition to the design which Sir likes a great deal.
I am looking forward to wearing it, as this new burqa will have three layers of occlusion and veiling. The new third part is supposed to be quite sever according to Sir.
For Labor Day we had some friends over, Sir cooked, and I was allowed to float around the pool in my white skinsuit and burqa. We even played a bit of pool volleyball and it was most fun. I must say, however, that a burqa is not the best attire for spiking the ball while standing in a pool. :-)
Floating in the burqas is amazing...all the rubber wetly flowing and settling and weighing me down, Our friends gently holding me up and caressing me, and being silenced and tightly wrapped and restrained...fantastic!
And, do not worry...we are always most careful with latex in the pool...I am never in any danger. If I don't say that I will have 20 comments about being careful ... please believe me when I say we know what we're doing and I don't recommend rubber enclosure in a pool without watchful, aware friends around.
Our friends were also in full enclosure for at least part of the day, although they shed their TE suits down to just briefs and bikinis for Sir's steak dinner. I, of course, was not allowed to shed anything, but was given a nice liquid milk-shake for my dinner. Sir was very nicely covered in an elaborate enclosure suit which he then took off to cook in. Under it he wore a rubber t shirt and rubber biking shorts of a most enjoyable nature.
Not much else to report. Sir is talking about us going to see Blue Man Group while they are here. That will be great fun, particularly swathed in multiple layers of metallic blue latex! I shall report back once we have seen the show.
It is once again clear and hot today, but with September here, the cooler temperatures of autumn are not far away.
Regards

Still Here - Been Very Lazy in the Heat
Hello, everyone.
Yes, I am still here and still intent upon updating this blog. But it has been several months since my last post because I have had little or nothing I wished to write about.
I still have very little to report, but I am less busy now and staying inside almost constantly because of the extreme heat here in Texas. It has been as high as 107 F occasionally and the humidity is very high as well.
Sir has been traveling a lot lately as he gets business for his company but I have not accompanied him recently.
The heat is so high that I am reduced to a single layer of latex most of the time. Often this is just a loose skirted, ankle length dress with hood and gloves. Sometimes it is just a skinsuit.
I have been out swimming in our pool several times...typically in a white or transparent grey skin suit. But even then, it is best if I wait until the sun falls below the trees or even until after sunset.
We did go see Sorcerer's Apprentice a few evenings ago. Silly, but fun and I always enjoy Nicholas Cage. The particular theater at the cinema we went to was small as the movie is soon to be out of the theater. We sat in the top row and had only a handful of other people in to see the show. I wore my white burqa with its silencing hood ankle length dress over a white dress and gloves and boots. Very light latex for me since I had only the burqa hood on my head under the burqa and only the dress covering my skin. theater, thank goodness, are still well over air-conditioned so it was quite comfortable.
Sir seems quite comfortable with the heat, still wearing his latex slacks and shirts although he only wears one layer. He keeps his offices very cool as well so he can tolerate the heat as well. If he has to wear street clothes, he still tries to wear a thin catsuit underneath but he often just wears latex slacks and shirt into the office.
I understand from him that we may both be traveling back to Ireland for a few days soon, then on to the UK and Germany. The cooler temperatures will be most welcome.
I suppose I can no longer travel to France as well as Belgium and dress as I wish to. This is most unfortunate and unfair. Fortunately, even here in Texas, there have been no such calls for bans on dress to any significant degree.
We can only hope that the French Constitutional Council declares it to be unconstitutional, thereby restoring some rationality to the discussion.
So, not much adventure or travel in the past few months. Just working round the house (my garden is doing well, but our lawn is suffering in the heat) and resting and keeping myself busy in the house with a bit of shopping and going out.
Sir has begun to talk about another burqa for me and I expect a new dress may be in the offing for our soon to occur 35th wedding anniversary. He suggested I ask my readers about my next burqa?
- Metallic gold or silver or some other hue?
- Goggle eyes like my blue one or a traditional mesh like my others? or should it be fully occluding, rendering me sightless and well as speechless?
- Silencing hood inside it or a more restrictive garment such as a hooded strait jacket or a hooded shoulder cape that binds my upper arms to my sides?
- Hood with a built-in rubber gag, a sheath or condom gag, or the usual extra tight mouth covering with no gag?
- Arm slits like the rest of my burqas or built in sleeves ending in matching gloves?
- Should the burqa be somehow locking so that I cannot remove it? Perhaps collared around my neck or chained on?
- Should the head cap be more cylindrical and should there be more detailing on it or around the viewing area? Perhaps appliques in a contrasting color? Or in the same color for monochromicity?
- Should I have a matching dress under it
- Should that dress be loose skirted or severely hobbling?
- Should the dress be attached to the burqa so the whole thing is a single unremoveable unit?
Several of the ideas above are Sir's, of course. Your opinions are welcomed as are any additional ideas.

A Walk in the Park
Sir took me out yesterday to a local park to listen to a live concert. The weather was lovely and it was in the evening so it was cool enough to enjoy the walk. But I get ahead of myself. First, I must mention that we have visitors at the moment. My niece Sarah and her three year old son Josh are visiting us for a few days.
We've been having loads of fun around the house, playing in the yard, and shopping. It does mean spending all my time encased in latex burqas which is a bit of a chore, but well worth it given the company and fun we've had. Per Sir's orders I am veiled at all times when someone else is in the house, although I am allowed to speak to her.
We decided to go out shopping the other day and I explained I would have to silence myself with a gag. Sarah helped me get ready to go out. I already had a black dress, gloves and hood on when she suddenly came into my dressing room to get something. I asked her to help me pick out a gag to insert into my mouth. The hood I was wearing allows a variety of gag designs to be chosen and used to fill my mouth. I have a selection ranging from small to large to inflatables. She suggested a medium sized inflatable with recessed valve. It is one of my favorites because it fills my mouth but does not have a protruding valve.
I inflated it to a comfortable level and she topped me up, giggling a bit as she squeezed the bulb twice more. Then, I pulled on my white burqa and she zipped its silencing hood closed for me. It fits very tightly when it goes over the black hood I was wearing and takes a bit of tugging to get the zip shut.
Usually, I do not bother with a gag inserted into my mouth under the burqa. The silencing hood is sufficient to stifle my voice and remind me that I must be silent in public. However, Sir has been having me actively gag more often lately and I thought I should for this outing.
My niece and indeed my whole family, is most tolerant of my lifestyle and it was fun to be out with another girl (woman, really, as she is in her late twenties) while I was fully covered and she was in fashionable, chic, casual wear. Since I was going to be in latex, Sarah wore her own tight, shiny real-latex leggings and a fitted, metallic red latex-look shell that came just below her waist. She is very fit and quite petite like me. We both favor four inch heels and were of a height while out and about.
Her leggings were footless and her shoes were a very pretty pair of metallic red Grecian strap sandals with laces crawling up her ankles over the leggings. I offered her a choice of black or red wrist length latex gloves with rubber ruffles at the wrist and she chose the red. I made a gift to her of those later as I seldom wear them anymore and she looked wonderful in them.
We certainly attracted our share of stares as we wandered one of the larger malls in Dallas with her little boy walking between us and holding our hands...hers in red rubber and mine in white latex over black.
Her little boy thinks we should all wear "shiny clothes". I nearly choked around the gag inside my silencing hood with laughter when he said that because it is the same thing my son used to say to me when he was growing up.
We enjoyed a nice day out at the mall, then yesterday the four of us went to the park for the concert. Saturday I was in a transparent skinsuit with grey tint, a long black dress, hood, corset, boots and gloves for our mall excursion. The burqa over this was my bright white one with its built-in silencing hood to limit my vision and speech. I also wore a second pair of gloves, white, so my hands would be covered securely and also match the burqa.
As I said above, Sarah had even helped me dress before hand and was fascinated to watch me pull on the burqa hood and helped zip it shut, sealing me in silence for the day out. She was not the least confounded by having to keep up both sides of the conversation and regaled me with stories of her job, co-workers, and adventures with preschool. For my part, the occasional "mmm", nod, or a flurry of my rubber gloved hands constituted my contribution, but we got on well. I could not eat or drink in the white burqa hood, but we stopped for sodas and she and Josh enjoyed themselves.
For the park last night I wore a blue tinted skinsuit, a blue metallic rubber dress with a fairly strict narrow ankle length skirt and black corset and boots. Over that I wore the blue goggle-eyed burqa and blue gloves. The burqa has the severe interior hood you've probably seen on my Flickr account. I once again wore an internal gag but not an inflatable one.
We walked to the park from our house. It is only about two blocks and was quite comfortable. There were about 200 people gathering to attend the concert and the weather was perfect, temperatures in the 60's and a lovely breeze blowing my burqa slightly.
Fortunately, we were not required to tramp across much grass, certainly not as much as the ladies in Galway at the races have to. And our grass was not wet. We wandered the crowd for a while, then found a nice place to sit on a grass covered embankment overlooking the stage. After I settled myself on the grass, the blue latex swirling around my seated form, Josh crawled up into my lap to watch the show. Sarah, once more in her latex leggings but with a black top with long sleeves and black ankle boots sat next to me and chatted with me. Sir sat on the other side of me and talked with us.
The music was nice, covers of some fun stuff from the 80's and 90's by a local band. We had several many stares and a couple of people looked like they wanted to approach but in the end only one person came up to Sarah and asked her if I could see OK. She acted as if I was deaf, not just veiled. Or maybe she thought I was mentally challenged :-)
Sarah leaned over and asked me if I could see, I nodded and the woman moved off looking embarrassed. We all chuckled, mine a bit muffled, and Josh asked what we were laughing about.
Afterward, we walked home, my burqa flapping in the wind which had picked up a bit. The trip took a bit since I was severely limited in my gait. Josh was sleepy and Sir carried him on his shoulder. By the time we reached our home he was asleep.
Sarah put him to bed and then helped me remove my silencing hood and gag, but I kept the burqa on afterward as we gathered in our living room for drinks before bed. All in all, a wonderful couple of days.

Sunday Morning ... with Goo
Well it is about 9am on a sunny Sunday morning and we are just finishing breakfast. We have been enjoying a delicious plate of sugary, sticky cinnamon rolls and crispy bacon. Sir got up early this morning and made me breakfast in bed! I was allowed to sleep late, wrapped in rubber duvet and hooded nightgown.
Any idea how messy eating cinnamon rolls is when your face is encased in tight latex? Yes, I had an open mouthed hood on, but nonetheless, gooey, sticky icing was all over my mouth and cheeks before I was done. It was wonderful.
Sir ensured that icing went other places as well. His rubber undergarments and cassock will need a good wash as well :-) It is a good thing that our bed covers are latex...even so they will require quite a cleaning this afternoon.
Now, we are finishing up, I have cleaned myself up a bit and must shortly head for my bath. A nice soak in warm water with jacuzzi jets and bubble bath is just what I am looking forward to. Then a nice clean skinsuit and my prettiest red dress, hood and gloves for a Sunday outing. Sir wants us to go to a movie and do some book shopping this afternoon.
And I hope we get more cinnamon rolls!
Eating in latex enclosure is always a bit of a challenge (unless it is piped into one - but that's not really eating...just being force fed like a machine being fueled or lubed) but I usually manage it with small bites which I can guide to my mouth without staining my hood much...just a bit of juice or grease which cleans away neatly with a serviette. And of course, when we are out in public, under a burqa no one can see even that little bit of mess.
But there are some foods that are just messy no matter what one does ... and a few that are intrinsically fun as well! mmmmmm

A Quiet Spring
Nothing much is happening around ourselves at the moment. We are enjoying a quiet time of rest and reasonably warm weather here in late February. The pool is, of course, still too cool to use, but we hope it will be warm enough by April.
We've spent some time working around the house and I have been finally catching up on cataloging books in our library. I had neglected making any notes or records of books we acquired in Ireland and that laziness is coming back to haunt me now.
Sir has added a few new toys to our playroom and I'v ebeen the enthusiastic recipient of their attentions. I shall describe them more fully in later postings. clothing wise, I've not had anything new recently (since Christmas). Valentine's Day I received a very nice, extremely soft and cuddly, totally rubber encased teddy bear among other things. he is quite cute and I have no idea where Sir acquired such a perfectly fitting catsuit for a plush bear about 2 feet in height.
Sir has begun taking about a new burqa perhaps in metallic silver or gold. He loves the look of the blue one. I think we have agreed that the double eyed look is fascinating, but might be a bit less alien looking if the eyes were almond shaped or oval. The cloth ones we model on often have the eye holes teardrop shaped with the elongated tail angled up to the outside of the wearer's head. This seems to soften the look.
I have been wearing dresses with hobble skirts more around the house lately. These are very tight rubber with very narrow hems at ankle height and they constrict my stride considerably. I rather enjoy kneeling on the carpet next to Sir's chair while wearing such skirts as they constantly restrict any slight movement and remind me of my position. Of course, the full enclosure hood helps with that as well :) i do not have to wear such hoods all the time, but I enjoy being hooded so much that I do it voluntarily even when Sir does not require it. It rather pleases him to see me self-restrict in this manner.
Silencing hoods, tight corsets, multiple catsuits, hobble skirts, strict gloving with more than one pair...all these things are things which please him greatly and I find it very convenient to self restrict myself when I dress in the mornings. Then, I am ready to go out if he desires and if not I am propoerly enclossed for the day anyway.
And, of course, if he desires me to be in some other rubber costume i have the pleasure of being undressed and redressed by him.
Sir requires me to be strictly gloved and tightly clothed in latex even to clean around the house, cook meals, and while I am working in the library. Typing is a challenge, but I persevere. Cooking dinner and doing laundry while wearing full enclosure rubber catsuits and dresses is also challenging but fun. Not being able to taste my cooking because I am in a silencing hood that fits so tightly my lips go numb is a bit of a challenge, but Sir tells me how the sauce or soup is coming along :)
Lest anyone think this is my only life mode, however, let me point out that I had a cold last week and Sir did NOT allow me to wear a full face hood, just an open faced one. I spent the whole week resting, in latex nightgowns and robes, and did not get to wear anything remotely restraining or restrictive. That was restful, but I confess I missed tight hoods and gloves and draping my burqas over myself and going out to shop or see a movie. I was quite ready to climb the walls when I finally recovered (grand total of 3 days) and we went out to a nice dinner of tapas with me in my red burqa and no hood underneath. Sir is quite solicitous of my health and comfort and wanted to ease me back into full enclosure and restrictive dressing.
Fortunately, this week I am back to normal and as I write am wearing a full grey tinted, transparent skinsuit under a very tightly skirted black rubber hobble dress, two pairs of gloves which extend under the sleeves to rise over my elbows, and a mouthless hood with a separate gag fitted tightly between my lips. My knee high boots are very tight over the skinsuit and have 5 inch spike heels with zips up the back. It feels good to feel good again.

Snow
It is snowing here in Dallas today.
We often have slight snowfalls in February, but I do not recall the last time I saw it snow for 12 straight hours here in Dallas. It is at least 4 inches deep around our property. Just lovely.
The temperature is above freezing, but the snow keeps coming down. It makes for some beautiful scenes. Sir has had to clear snow off our satellite dish twice though.
Sir has had me step out in multiple layers...still rather cool even under three layers of rubber. But I must say, the pictures he's taken are impressive looking, particularly the ones where I am in my white burqa. I was all in white rubber, catsuit, dress and burqa.
The blue burqa makes more contrast though...I am much easier to spot in it. :)
Not much else to report...we certainly are not going out!

Recent Travels - London was fun
Just a short note to say hello to everyone and to thank you for all the comments on my new burqa and my new years eve fun.
We've been traveling again. Ireland, london, then back to texas. It has been an interesting experience because Sir required me to wear the new blue burqa with its two goggle eyes. It seems to be much more disturbing to people than the mesh versions...I guess it makes me look more 'alien' and less 'veiled'.
London was very cold as we wandered Kensington and Oxford circus and Mayfair. It was about freezing with a bit of wind to lower the temp further. I wore four layers to go out including:
a transparent blue full enclosure skinsuit with gloves and feet but no mouthole
a second catsuit (opaque metallic blue) plus matching hood (also with no mouthole) and gloves
a black rubber corset and a black long, tight, ankle length hobble skirt which limits my stride. It zips down the back to a ridiculously small circumference, enforcing steps as small as three inches. Sir would allow only a small walking slit so my stride was just about a foot. Stairs were impassable.
Finally, I wore a full metallic blue dress with ankle length loose skirt, and a tight bodice with long tight sleeves cut in a raglan style so the dress curves nicely over my breast.
My boots were black rubber knee high boots over the two catsuits. Five inch spike heels and very pointed toes. They are very shiny which worked in London as shiny black patent was everywhere.
Over everything I wore the blue burqa with its internal silencing hood as my third hood and a third pair of gloves in metallic blue rubber which come up almost to the elbow. This was to insure that my hands emerging from the burqa would be both identical in colour and unfeeling as only a three layer rubber enclosure can make them. the appears to be a part of the burqa and Sir commented that he might have Peter make one with built-in gloves.
We went shopping, taking taxis around town, wandering through Harrods, and John Lewis, then off to Oxford Circus for some window shopping. Finally, we went back to Picadilly, went into Berwick street looking at fancy fabric (no latex) and ended up the day at Fortnam and Mason. Then back to our hotel where I warmed up for about an hour before we went out to a lovely restaurant for dinner.
Unfortunately we did not have time to get up to Islington and peruse the fetish shops.
I was not particularly cold under all those layers, but I was heavily restricted and restrained in walking, forced by the inner tight hobble skirt to take small steps which Sir happily accommodated.
So London was fascinating in cold blue rubber. We had quite a lot of looks and a few comments. One woman asked about the material when we were in Berwick street. No one seemed to expect me to be able to speak and no one seemed offended at a veiled blue spirit wafting her way through the streets.
We return to Texas this week and should have dinner with friends after that. i shall post again when we do. I have not had any more trouble flying veiled than i did before. I wear an open faced hood under a burqa and ask for a private screening which is always accommodated. I then put on a tighter, silencing hood later in a ladies room behind security. I usually sit quietly during the flight anyway and if I now have to 'keep my hands in full view, I do so through the slits in my burqa. I have not been asked to unglove.
Some people have asked my opinion of the new movement in France to ban the burqa. Let me state categorically that I am a libertarian and do not feel that ANY government has the right to tell any person how to dress or what to wear.
The argument about needing to see the face for security reasons is ludicrous. If you are a criminal you will add the crime of hooding, masking, or wearing a cycle helmet to your list. If you are not, then it makes no difference whether your face is shown or not.
The notion that veils or burqas are oppressive to women is just as ludicrous. people are oppressive to women, not clothing. I am certain there are plenty of women in the world who are forced to wear veils, burqas, and other such garb against their will. forced by either other people, peer pressure, culture, or belief. many who do so probably would like to not do so.
I am just as certain that there are women forced to wear tight short skirts, high heels, particular hairdos, bras, and even to have surgery by men or by their own perceptions of the requirements their society and class and circle puts on them.
To be forced against your will to conform to someone else's notion of proper attire or demeanor is wrong. To allow yourself to willingly submit to someone else's notion of dress, appearance, behaviour, and attitude is fetish...and a wonderful fetish it is too! We all have the right to build whatever type of relationship makes us happy...but no one has the right to make us unhappy or pressure us into a mode against our will.
If women may not veil, then where does it stop? men can't wear caps? women may not wear hats? sunglasses? makeup? perhaps cosmetic surgery will be outlawed? No long robes? No long dresses? Pockets can hide things, perhaps they must go. The list is endless.
France's leader is afraid of the changes coming to his country, but change WILL come. Soon my country of the USA will be Hispanic majority and will begin to speak Spanish more than English. While I do not believe in any religion or god myself, Islam will most likely continue to grow and be very popular with a vast number of people over the next few decades, supplanting Christianity just because people are seeking something else. But the majority of those people will want th epeaceful aspects of a religion and will want to live their lives and dress their bodies as they prefer.
In addition, fashions for the non-religious will move through extremes and waves where certain forms of dress shock and annoy the establishment, then become normative and entrenched. I remember how upset women born in the 20's were about miniskirts...but not about those incredible bullet bras of the fifties :)
Change happens and legislating against some minor aspect of it such as particular dress will not stop it. The powers that be in Europe and in the rest of the world need to understand that.
So I would say that people should be left alone to dress as they see fit, to express their opinions by means of their clothing and appearance as well as their voice and writing. (Or non-voice if they choose to be gagged).

A New Year and a lot of activity
After a nice Christmas at home with our son and his girlfriend, I've been enjoying the first few days of the new year, lounging around the house in my new blue burqa, and connecting to friends and potential friends in Yahoo and Facebook.
Sir and I had a very nice dinner out on New Years Eve with another couple. I was restrained and gagged under my new burqa with its goggle eyes and internal silencing hood. I could not eat, of course, but sat quietly in my chair at the restaurant until the others had finished their dinner and drinks, then we all stood up and raised glasses (even me) to ring in the new year at midnight.
The restaurant staff were very accommodating and understanding. They have had the enjoyment of our custom before and knew that when i come in I almost never eat. Sometimes Sir allows me to be ungagged and to eat small plates, but less and less lately. he has been taking me on a journey of greater and stricter restraint and isolation lately and the new blue burqa is part of that.
It looks so unhuman, and many people seem to find it more intimidating with its two goggle eyes, that Sir prefers me to be less and less free when wearing it. So I am often restrained at the arms, hobbled at the ankles, and gagged with an inflatable gag under the bright blue rubber hood which is built into the burqa.
This all limits the interaction I can have with others which both Sir and I find exciting but which disconcerts strangers. Something about the eyes also seems to disturb people and I get more comments such as, "Why are you covered like that?" and "How can you see under that?" or "Can you breathe? Isn't that very stuffy?" they become even more flustered when I tap my mouth to indicate that i cannot speak, unless my arms are bound in which case i cannot interact with them at all except to shake my head.
New Years Eve we were out with another latex couple, very good friends, and she was in a beautiful red rubber gown with tight sleeves and matching gloves which she never removed, of course. She wore a red catsuit under it as well as red boots.
I was in a black catsuit and dress dress under the burqa and high heeled black rubber boots. The dress has an attached hood and gloves and my blue hood and gloves went on over these. My arms were secured behind my back for most of the evening until just before midnight when Sir released them so i could hold up a glass to toast the new year.
The two men were dressed in latex slacks and shirts and blazers. They also both wore tight catsuits under the 'street wear'. Sir referred to me as 'it' several times during the evening when discussing his planned after dinner activities and the woman became quite aroused at some of the things Sir suggested we all do after the dinner party.
After dinner we went back to our house and I was used to provide pleasure to all three of them, starting with the woman. She had me slowly remove her dress so that I could be placed between her legs to please her while her husband massaged her breasts and thighs. Sir watched for a while, then got involved using a whip on my back and buttocks to encourage me further.
Later I provided an oral orifice for each of the men to relieve themselves and was whipped (quite harshly) by the woman as I was used by her husband. Other activities included me being tied over our spanking bench and being used orally while she was tied up to our whipping post and administered to by Sir.
After we all collapsed about 3am, I was put into my vac bed for sleeping, and our friends stayed the night. In the morning I was whipped by the woman before being released from the bed and then had to bathe her and her husband as well as Sir before being allowed to clean up myself. I was made to do so in my catsuit and to put on my burqa, fully gagged and gloved, just to please them all. It was absolutely wonderful.
After bathing and dressing our guests and Sir (who was lounging in his rubber dressing gown), they ate a light breakfast which I was denied. but while I served them, I was force fed through a set of tubes attached to each of them. it was quite bizarre with me mounted in the center of the table like a rotating statue, being fed from their bladders while I placed strawberries and toast into their mouths.
Our friends left before lunchtime, fully dressed in rubber and wishing us a great 2010.
So that's how I spent New Years Eve, then new years day later. Since then Sir has allowed me to remain fully hooded and gagged for the past few days (as well as skin suited and plugged) while I chatted with friends, connected with others on Yahoo and Facebook. it has been a most enjoyable holiday.

New Blue Burqa

It is amazing to me how time passes so quickly. Finally, I have posted some photos Sir just took of me in my new blue burqa to my flickr account
Nothing much has been happening of late. We visited Sir's sister for Thanksgiving and had a great time. We went out shopping at one of the outdoor malls on Friday and I got some presents for Sir. It was fun shopping in the burqa with its silencing hood on underneath. The two eye hole design limits my peripheral vision more than the single large mesh, but the view ahead is quite clear.
We have been back to Ireland a few times over the past few months and the new pictures are from the Irish house. they are not great quality, just snapshots Sir took in passing. I hope to get some in the sunlight soon.
I've had some questions about the burqa and I thought I would add the answers to this post.
The material is metallic blue latex from radical rubber and is a wonderful reflective blue that seems to glow in the right light. The burqa is sewn atthe seams. Peter always makes his goods this way and it adds a true touch of class and sophistication to the look (at least in my opinion).
Along with the burqa with its goggle eyes look, Sir had Peter make a matching hood of the same color. The hood has goggle eyes with perforated openings as well. This actually does not change my ability to see much at all. I was concerned that the double perforations with smaller openings would make vision much more limited, but it does not. However, the burqa's goggle eyes limit peripheral vision much more than my other burqas with their wider meshes.
The hood is a silencing hood just like my others. It has no mouth hole and I cannot speak when it is installed on my face and tightly zipped into place. For extra care in making me silent Sir has occasionally inserted a gag into my mouth as well, before sealing the hood around my face and head.
The other feature of the hood is that is attaches to the inside of the burqa with a popper at the crown of my head. Which means it can be removed and the burqa worn without it if Sir so desires. I sometimes wander around the house wearing just the hood under a matching ankle length dress, then I can pop the burqa on in about 5 seconds.
This hood is amazingly tight and totally restrictive and silencing. Once it is fully zipped shut, I find I cannot open my mouth to talk against the pressure of the latex. At the same time it fits perfectly so I do not get that jaw pain even when wearing it continuously for a couple of days. It is multi-panel and sewn just as the burqa is.
When Sir took the pictures I just uploaded to Flickr and the one above, I was was wearing a matching metallic blue dress and gloves. My boots were black rubber knee high with 5 inch heels. We looked at a pair of metallic blue latex thigh boots on eBay, but did not think they would fit me properly and have not acquired them yet.
Sir acquired metallic blue gloves to go with the burqa, but we were sad to see the colors do not quite match. He is searching for some that are made from RR's latex. They are quite nice, though.
My previous blue burqa (made by a friend) was made with an internal leotard with bondage sleeves that were closed and wrapped around behind me like a straitjacket. unfortunately, it was badly damaged sometime back and was beyond repair. This new one is fantastic and the goggle eyes are amazing. I hope Sir has others made for me with this look. I look alien and different and somehow more restricted and isolated in this one than the others. I understand why they are so popular in areas where burqas are worn routinely.
We went shopping in an open air mall after Thanksgiving and I had many stares and reactions, but was able to go into some shops alone, buy gifts for Sir, and manage to complete the sales even silenced. The clerks were only interested in my credit cards, not my veil - :-) Shopping for books or other items WITH Sir present was as much fun as usual. We did not see anyone else veiled that day, but the shops were full and busy, yet I only garnered a few looks (maybe one or two shaken heads).
The weather was comfortable with a bit of a breeze blowing and the burqa billowed out behind me a couple of times. In my red burqa this could be a problem because it would shift around and the mesh would no longer line up with my eyes. My white burqa with the hood firmly attached inside corrects this and the new blue one does as well. I wasn't sure if the use of the snap would be as effective, but it works like a charm. the goggle eyes of the hood and the goggle eyes of the burqa stayed lined up even in a heavy breeze.
i was wearing the same blue dress (ankle length) and gloves as in the photo above, but of course, what I am wearing beneath my blue latex veil is irrelevant. The dress has a high ruffled collar which fits over the neck of the hood making the hood seem to emerge from inside the dress. The look is quite nice. The same happens at the cuffs of the sleeves as they engulf my gloves. The bodice is tight and slightly ruffled too making the overall look quite conservative and school marmish...just what Sir likes. It goes well with my figure too, even with my corset. I guess I need a blue rubber corset now...hint to Sir!
Well, that should explain what I was wearing and how the burqa works. Thank you all for being patient with me and I hope this answers some of the questions. The pictures are on http://www.flickr.com/latexladyll

What a Summer
Well, it has certainly been a while since I wrote. I want to thank everyone who has been sending in comments asking when I wo9uld blog again.
To make a long story short, Sir wound up in hospital two weeks after my last post and was there for some time. He has been recovering for the past two months and is just about back to normal now. He had a massive infection which just got out of hand.
So, as you can imagine, I have been most busy and worried. And I have just not felt like writing for the last three months. In the middle of all that, as he has regained his strength, we have relocated back to Ireland for a couple of months.
However, things are getting back to normal now. Sir is home and his strength is back. I have had some time to rest and to enjoy my latest gift from him. So I decided it was time to write a bit more.
The challenge with Sir in the hospital was, as it was a few years ago, in staying fully covered as per our desired lifestyle. I must say, however, that the hospital was understanding and helpful. I was able to wear my burqas, with dress and gloves and even my inner hoods but , of course, I had to be able to communicate a bit so I was not gagged as I usually am when I go out in public.
I mentioned my latest gift. Sir has had a new metallic blue burqa made for me by our usual designer in Denmark, Peter Leth. It replaces my previous blue one, made by some friends, which had recently worn out. The new one has some interesting features including arm slits and a built-in hood like the white burqa.
The internal hood, however, is snapped to the outer burqa which means it can be easily separated and worn by itself if Sir wishes me to. The eyes are different as well. The hood has pepperpot eyes just like my white burqa hood, and no mouth, of course, but the outer burqa does not have the traditional mesh viewport. rather, it has goggle eyes with pepperpot perforations as well. This gives the wearer a much more limited view and the look is very bizarre.
The burqa is metallic blue latex. It shimmers and reflects the light beautifully. and, while I will miss my original blue burqa that wwas made by friends, this one is even nicer and more elaborate. The cap is nicely shaped and it fits perfectly. Peter does wonderful work.
The blue looks wonderful against the water in our pool and probably attracts more looks than even my red one. The metallic look is somehow more provocative. We have acquired matching gloves of course and I love the monochromatic look. I think a nice metallic blue catsuit or ankle length dress might be next on the acquisition list.
Sir says we can post some pictures of me in it soon.
Well, that's about all for now. we are here in Ireland for another couple of weeks before returning to Texas. The weather is clod, wet, and blustery...perfect rubber wearing weather and we have seen several pairs of real latex leggings on the shopping streets in the city centre.
Dallas is cooler now as well, so when we return in a couple of weeks it should be enjoyable to dress in total rubber as well. I am very happy to be back in my standard two layers plus burqa layer.
Regards
Lady

a few pointers
I wanted to respond to a comment from a friend and give my friends a few pointers for connecting to me
First, however, let me say the weather here in Texas is hot, but I did have a nice trip to Boston for a few days which ended up in Ireland again for a week or so last month. Theat cooled me off.
I am dressed today in a very thin all encasing transparent lilac tinted skin suit, with, as usual large eyeholes and mouthhole. Over this I am wearing a semi-transparent pink peignoir of ankle length latex with a ruffled closure over the front. I have just got out of bed a while back and not yet bathed or dressed.
My second layer hood is pink today, to match the peignoir and has, as usual, no mouth hole so i am properly silenced for the morning. It also has closed lenses over the eyes and a very tight fitting neck...it is a pull over with no zip or other closure.
The inside temperature of our home is at 68 F which makes it possible to be fully sealed like this. The outside temperature, now, at about 7am, is already in the 80 F range.
I have been allowed to dress lightly like this for several days except when Sir wishes to engage in a scene ... and of course a burqa must cover such thin layers when I go out. One does not go out of the house in a peignoir, however, and it is replaced by one of my white or red full length dresses and pairs of gloves, boots, corset, and hood.
we've had no particular adventures this week...the trip to Boston, then Ireland, was a bit of a surprise but went off smoothly. We have kept our house in the West so we had a fully stocked place to stay.
Now a point about connecting to me. A friend recently pointed out that I am rejecting more connections now and I should explain my internal decision process on accepting invites. So here goes.
I receive a great number of friend requests and have had to make some decisions about which services i will connect through...and apply some standards for acceptance.
First, the two services I feel best about are Yahoo Connects and Facebook. The third is MySpace. Please use one of those to send me invites.
I had a bad experience with grouply and will not connect through it ... nothing personal to those who use it, but I had to slice the pie somewhere and I still receive strange requests from grouply form time to time.
I will accept a request only from someone who has a reasonably fleshed out profile on one of the top 3. I can't see this until I connect, but an empty profile will result in me dropping the connection in a non-prejudicial manner...meaning I'll look again if i get another. This also means you must offer a photo. A photo which I feel might be you (not obviously found on the web), and no avatars. They are cute, but I like to see a photo. And a personal invite instead of the system generated one says you are truly interested too. it can still be a one liner, but it lets me know you are intrigued.
The quickest response from me is to a photo of you in fetish. This doesn't have to be rubber, but something where I can recognize that you are interested in fetish like me.
If all you have is a crop of your last office party or you on vacation at Yellowstone, that's OK. But I would prefer to see a fetish dressed photo of you.
Let me hasten to note that, from my point of view, the many friends I have in the muslimah category count as well...a photo of you in your hijab, niqab, or burqa, while not officially 'fetish' will get you accepted onto my links list immediately. Same think for a man visibly committed to his beliefs...immediate accepts on those.
And while it is not a pre-condition of me accepting, the more info on the profile, the better...but everyone has a different comfort level, so I make no real judgement here. I just note that in a community, it is nice to know some details about an individual...we should all flesh out our profiles a bit.
I am the LAST person who feels I have to see your face or kn,ow your legal name...not interested in that...another reason photos of you in a hood veil, or mask are perfect. They scream out that you are committed to your interests.
I truly hope I do not offend anyone with these guidelines. But I now receive up to 200 invites a day sometimes and while I like having a long list of links and friends, a girl has to have some of the day left to process. :-)
Thank you all for continuing to read, for saying hello when we meet in SL, and for giving me your wonderful thoughts.
regards
