Well, time has passed and things have happened and we are back
That is, we are back in the US of A
We arrived a couple weeks ago but I have just been too busy to blog lately.
It is very nice to be back in our house and in our usual town...and in warm sunshine (sometimes too warm) and near our friends.
I say too warm because it is considerably sunnier, warmer, and drier here than Ireland. However, lounging by our pool yesterday in full latex enclosure was quite nice. I waited until the sun was going down and the heat of the day was off, then went out and sat on the chase.
It has taken a bit of getting used to. We went out to a mall the other evening shopping for some presents and i was very aware of how many stares I was getting in my flowing white burqa.
But my most enjoyable moment was a few weeks ago when we came back into the US. We were debarking at Chicago O'Hare airport after our flight from Dublin. I was in my white burqa as is usual these days for traveling. Suddenly we encountered a large family with three women (two very tall and thin and a third more matronly) all in black abaya and full niqab and gloves, their daughters also niqab'd (but in grey) and three men traveling with them. They preceded us through customs, then Sir and I followed. Suddenly we were all clustered at the exit from customs. Sir and I stepped around them and headed for the escalator. As I rose up on the steps, I looked back and the whole family were watching me and Sir. I waved a white gloved hand at them and one of the girls waved a little grey gloved hand back.
It just brought home to me that more and more being veiled in public in the US s accepted. No one else n the airport paid any attention to me or to them, crowds of passengers hurrying around them and us.
Here at home, I do get some stare3s in the mall, but frankly, the sight of veiled and even niqab'd women is becoming common enough around our place that I raise no eyebrows particularly.
We have settled back into the house, made sure the playroom is properly furnished (some things had been packed away) and finally moved all of our artworks back onto their proper shelves. We have not yet had an opportunity for entertaining any friends, but have been out to dinner with friends a couple of times.
Sir is very pleased to be back and has taken a few weeks off...which means he's lounging around the house in a full enclosure suit and long rubber cassock all day and night. I find I am wearing a single total enclosure skinsuit and a dress .. with corset of course, but a layer less than my usual in Ireland. It is warm enough here that this feels more comfortable right now. mostly, I am dressing in white rubber these days, sometimes changing to black for evenings with Sir.
Frankly, though, I really adore the way the white dresses and burqa look...and they way they gleam in the Texas sunshine. Ireland just has not had enough sunshine these past few years.
Not much else to say just now. But it is fun to be back
regards
Lady

I gotta hand it to you 24/7/365 people. I don't know how you do it and still find it interesting. I know I am incapable of such a "monotony" which of course is not monotony in everything because you seem to do plenty of things and challenging ones at that. But to me it would be like having to eat eggs Florentine for every breakfast and a steak for every diner. Eating would become a bore!
So I assume it DOESN''T become the least bit boring for you and I wish I could understand how you manage it. Now boring and normal are different things and latex could become "normalized" as opposed to boring. To me it's neither boring nor normal and that's fine with me. In fact it seems to take so much "effort" that I am become a lazy rubberist these days.
The 24/7/365 thing is something incompressible to me.
Welcome Home!
Dark
Welcome Back!
Glad to hear you both had a safe trip and are adjusting to life back in the USA.
Thanks again for the wonderful insight you have given us all into your latex lifestyle.
I agree, the sight of a niqabi or even a woman in a burqa is very common in the West nowadays. We recently had to transit rhough Atlanta. I was in abaya, hijab & niqab with a burqa over them. To make it easy at security I removed my burqa ahead of time & just lowered my niqab at the checkpoints. We had a 4 hour wait at the gate for our next flight & husband/Master had me kneel (back in my burqa) by his seat with my head lowered for the whole wait. He said no-one even gave us a second glance! For my part it felt good to be able to show the world what a good, modest wife I was. Once on board the plane I went into the toilet & gagged myself for the flight home.
Good luck with your life back in the US latex lady.

Dear Latex Lady,
I would love to hear more about your daily rubber routine - have you been subjected to a more restrictive outfit ?
best regards

I am very interested in finding out where you get your latex burqas. I would like to get one too. Could you please post some of the websites of the main vendors?
Thanks for the comments.
Wearing latex everyday makes it normal but does not get boring. I love the variety of outfits I can wear and the feel of them. it would appear that many people do not become bored wearing jeans everyday (since so many do so) but certainly the look and feel of wearing them becomes normal.
Years ago I wore leather outfits a lot before i graduated to latex in public. It did not become boring, but did become normal...which skirt would I wear? Or would it be a dress? Long or short? with ankle, knee, or thigh boots? etc, etc...the same decisions one makes with other materials, but now all my decisions are about style, color, fit, and shape, not abpout material.
VW, I am glad you had such a positive experience, veiling so completely in an airport. It sounds as if you follow the same sort of protocol i do, whereby you make it easy as possible to go trough security, then go back to the more comforting and intense cover and silencing once behind the wall.
wouldn't it be nice if those of us who enjoy extreme restriction and encasement in whatever medium could seal oursleves as our Dom(me)s wish in full view of the public and just nejoy the pleasure of being in the submissive moment.
But at least VW and myself (and I suspect others) have found work arounds. I love sitting on the floor in my burqas (particularly the white one) at Sir's feet, having just come out of the ladies room with my full silencing hood tightly fitted to my face, my arms secured to my waist and limited in movement and my burqa flowing around me in a big circle.
Lastly, anyone interested in acquiring latex burqas like mine should know they are specially crafted for me (not sold off the peg) and I will be happy to give you the email address of the maker if you email me a request at latexladyll@yahoo.com. The cost is in the neighborhood of US$400 for a simple one ... or was when my last one was ordered.
